I cannot imagine doing what renaissance people did in those times. I know it was not everyone, only a very few, but these men and women went out to do everything. Not only everything but to be the best at everything. Could you imagine that now. There is not just math and reading and writing and astronomy and so on bu,t there is a specialized study in everything. It's not just astronomy it's astrophisics, its not just science its microbiology and organic chemistry, it's not just math but a hundred of subdivisions in different directions, it seems it would almost be impossible to do. I know that I am fairly good in art and I do well in performing Middle eastern dance (but not all dance), I am also fairly good in music, but if I think of it I don't really completely exel in anything let alone not really knowing a little bit about everything. Being this I really connot see in my life time every getting to be good in every area. What do you think? is it possible in this day in age to know and be good at all areas of study when it is now so complex?
