University of Minnesota Duluth homecoming festivities Sept. 22 – 29

University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) homecoming festivities are being held this week, Sept. 22 through 29. This is a classic UMD homecoming celebration – a time when alumni, students, staff, faculty, and community members all come together to celebrate their Bulldog pride!

This week features student-centered and northland-themed days through the week:

  • Service Sunday
  • Merch Monday
  • Top the Tater Tuesday
  • Wavy Wednesday 
  • Duluth Deals Day
  • Bulldog Bonanza Friday
  • Homecoming Game/Tailgating

Wavy Wednesday

For the first time since 2016, on Wednesday, September 25 from 4 to 7 PM in Bagley Classroom, students will be making a splash this Homecoming at the Bagley Pond in cardboard boat races.

Bulldog Bonanza

Friday, September 27, from 11 am to 2 pm, the Bulldog Bonanza will host an array of local food trucks on campus, where students can explore an exciting fair and try a variety of delicious foods in Ordean Court.

      • Homecoming Tailgate: before the football game, folks can warm up with delicious drinks and great company as we rally together to support our Bulldogs.

Homecoming Beer & Cider Sampler

All guests must be 21 and older. Participants can enjoy local craft beverages with alumni and friends from 10 am to 12 pm. The Homecoming Beer & Cider Sampler tent will be located in the official tailgate area, Lot M-2, outside James A. Malosky Stadium. Tickets for the sampler event are limited. The Homecoming Beer & Cider Sampler will feature beverages from local companies including Hoops, Duluth Cider, Earth Rider, Castle Danger and Moose Lake.
