Triple threat environmental project

Student sustainability efforts are removing buckthorn to make room for a rain garden and pollinator park

Learning in the classroom is just one part of being a bulldog--another is taking the knowledge and skills acquired outside of the classroom and using those tools to create a meaningful change in this world. Environmental Science student, Emma Johnson, and Environment, Sustainability, and Geography student, Sidney Mattson, are doing exactly that by working with the Office of Sustainability to remove the invasive buckthorn on campus, they're making room for a rain garden and pollinator park.
