Joshua Weston grew up in Eveleth, Minnesota. He is a senior in the Department of Psychology at UMD.
Why did you choose UMD?
I chose UMD because past students have told me amazing things about the psychology program. Since starting undergrad, the faculty and instructors have inspired me to apply to the MAPS program here.
What do you like most about your program/s?
What I like most about my program is meeting new people with similar passions, as well as having instructors who are passionate about their students' success.
What has been your proudest accomplishment or your most meaningful experience at UMD so far?
My proudest accomplishment so far is completing my independent study under the mentorship of Dr. Kyle Mann. Dr. Mann made my study on multiple-job holders possible, and he has been a great research mentor.
Share what you like to do for fun, or tell us a fun fact about yourself.
Outside of school, I enjoy going camping, hiking, and spending time with my cats. I specifically love spending time on the north shore of Lake Superior with my siblings.
