Why did you choose to work at UMD?

I saw the job description for the position and felt immediately that it matched up with my skills and experiences. It was one of those situations where it is a unique role, so I hadn't even known to look for it, but when I saw it, it just felt right. 

What do you like most about your job?

I love working with students! That is absolutely the highlight of my job. I have a social work background, and I am fortunate that this job setting offers flexibility to meet the needs of students in a way that works for them. I also enjoy the cyclical nature of the university. It's fun to have seasons of tasks and projects that shift throughout the year. 

Do you have any advice for students? 

I believe that people have a lot of inner knowledge about themselves, so trust yourself.
