3rd & 4th year Clinical Clerkship Program!

Department of Family Medicine clinical faculty involved in the 3rd & 4th Year Clerkship Program: Jennifer Pearson MD, Alan Johns MD, Glenn Nordehn DO, Ruth Westra DO, and Jeff Adams MD (Director)

Welcome to the Duluth Site 3rd & 4th year Clinical Clerkship Program! Clerkships are coordinated through the Department of Family Medicine in the School of Medicine, Duluth. Efforts are directed by Jeff Adams MD and coordinated by Bonnie Peterson. Rotation sites include both local hospitals, St Mary’s and St Luke’s and many clinic and physician offices.

Core and elective clinical clerkships for UM third and fourth year Medical Students at Duluth site is recognized by Medical School Departments in the Twin Cities and Duluth clerkship students must fulfill the goals and objectives as set out in the course descriptions for credit.

Duluth experiences take place in community physician offices and local hospitals and the surrounding area. Students benefit from their 1-1 relationship with Attendings, visits to remote sites, working with physicians in community sports settings, and spending time with the Family Practice Residents – the only residents in the Duluth.
