Solving Printer Problems

Many of you are experiencing printing problems (wrong fonts, overlapping images and text) on campus using PageMaker. We need to work with the folks who run the labs (ITSS) to get these problems solved. If you're having printing problems and don't want to be held responsible for them, do the following:

1. send me an e-mail

A. in the body of that e-mail, write the building/room number where you were working when you printed

B. note in the e-mail the particular computer that you printed from (by number, or by describing where it is in the room by row, etc.)

C. note in the e-mail the printer you printed to (building/room)

2. Save a copy of your PageMaker File with a new filename that includes your first name and use the Web Drop folder to send it to me.

3. Drop a printout of the document in my mailbox in Humanities 420 with your name on it and the printing problems circled and/or described

I will collect all this evidence and present it to ITSS.
