Printing Problems
Here's the feedback we've received from ITSS concerning our printing problems
with PageMaker. See the Troubleshooting PageMaker
Printing Problems page for the solutions that ITSS has been able to
suggest so far.
The last evening
This evening, we have a number of items to accomplish:
1. We're "turning in" our "New
Media Writing" projects by...
A. posting the Web pages by the beginning of class (if you are having
trouble posting, I'll help you in class),
B. sending a message with the complete URL of the project to the
discussion "New
Media Writing URLs,"
C. handing in printouts of the Web pages and the self commentary.
2. We'll be doing course evaluations at the beginning of the
evening
3. We'll be networking in groups of three to find
solutions to technical and technique challenges in Dreamweaver, PageMaker
or Photoshop (don't forget to use your books as a resource)
4. While you are working on either your Client Project or Analytical
Essay, I'll be holding conferences to help you with your remaining
projects. Since class time won't allow me to meet with everyone--and
perhaps not everyone wants or needs a conference--I'll be taking names
of folks who'd like to sit down for a few minutes to talk about either
of the last two projects. I'll pass around a sheet in class, but if
you'd like to e-mail me beforehand to get your name on the list, please
let me know.
After the
last evening
After tonight, you'll have several things left to do for the class by
Monday, December 16 at 6 p.m. I will be in the classroom from 6 to
6:30 on that evening if you want to bring materials by, or you can leave
these items in my mailbox anytime before.
1. Complete your Client Project:
A. If it the project is a Web site, post the site to your "www"
folder, send the complete URL to the discussion "Client
Project URLs" on the discussion board, and print out all
the pages of the site to turn in with your commentary.
B. If the project is a print document, print it out in its final
form.
C. Hand in your commentary on the Client Project along with the printed
document (or print copies of your Web-site pages)
2. Turn in your Analytical Essay
(no commentary required)
3. Turn in your journal containing the paper
entries.
And Beyond...
If you would like feedback on any of your final projects, please send
me an e-mail specifying which items you want feedback on, and whether
you want me to send you the grade, or the grade and comments. If you want
your overall grade when it is determined, let me know that as well.
