I have studied a little about luther and I like the idea that people always think that luther wanted to start a new religion when he posted the 95 thesis. Luther was a catholic munk, he wanted to understand and debated with the church to find out if these things he posted were wrong and if they were why. He was looking for confirmation of his ideas and if not confirmation then a reason why they were not right. The people turned luther into a leader and it was them who allowed him to gain the position he eventually rose to. In the end he turned against the peasants, who were his main supporters. This is probably not quite related to the other post, I kind of got off track. Who saves, which religion is right? I haven't the slightest idea anymore, but the more you learn about religion the more you realize that although the many religions are diverse but they really aren't that different in philosophy. Maybe elvis could save.
