I'm glad people are interested in the strange phenomena of patriarchy. What I want to know is of the most fundamental nature. We understand that the religions of the day (then and now) were not very friendly to females. Why? What would have sparked the creation of such religious beliefs? If the god they worship exists and is all loving like they preach and says we're all so perfectly equal, and that we should love our neighbor as we love ourself, why would the religion turn so ugly? Where did the patriarchy begin? Was it just because men were naturally stronger physically? Was it just a few men who got burnt by women because they didn't clean their sand infested beards well enough? I've heard that matriarchies existed but I've never read about them. Is there a reason that all of our text books about history were male centered? Perhaps a certain group of the human race is frightened? I don't know, I'm just a violinist. Keep on Rockin'.
