I am Alessandro, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Minnesota - Duluth. In our lab, we develop and employ molecular modelling techniques to study the structure, dynamics and function of proteins involved in clinical disorders, and to characterize the physicochemical properties of small organic molecules. Check out our research to learn more on the ongoing projects concerning allostery, calcium-binding proteins, and membrane proteins. I am currently teaching the Computational Chemistry class for the 2014 fall semester.
