Definition:

Control, guidance, rules and regulations are the cornerstones of a civilized community. These components bring structure, coordinated organization, economic balance and safety to a community.

Essential Data:

Sources of funding, leadership, organizing structure.

 

Examples of Questions:   
  1. Who are the policy makers of the community?
  2. What are the "issues" in the community?
  3. How active are the members of the community in the decision processes?

Did you know?       

In 1961, 132 legislators in the state of Minnesota represented Non-MSA's. In 2001, that number has been reduced by more than half to 63 legislators.
