The h:dataTable tag lets you manipulate tabular data.

• Creates an HTML table
• Can display other JSF components in tables cells
• Can manipulate look and feel with CSS classes
• Drawback: does not provide native support for sorting columns

Note that the Facelets tag ui:repeat along with ordinary HTML table tags can be used in place of h:dataTable.

• ui:repeat has some useful features beyond h:dataTable (see pp. 217—18), but it can be tedious to use.
