JSF Tag Libraries

• JSF pages typically declare two tag libraries:

       <%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core" prefix="f" %>
       <%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" prefix="h" %>        

• Core tags (e.g. f:view) are independent of rendering technology

• You need f:view for both HTML pages and cell phone pages

• All JSF tags occur within scope of f:view

• Tags with prefix h: are JSF replacements for familiar HTML tags interpreted by browsers:
  • Replace HTML form tag with JSF h:form
  • Replace HTML input tag with JSF h:inputText, h:inputSecret, and h:commandButton
