However, at that time it was just a common belief that women were inferior and with the church supporting the claim the women were "vessels of sin" I think that it would be hard for a man to believe differently, for he didn't want to be the one at fault. Don't get me wrong, I fully argee that belief is absurd, but back then it was just something so common and for that, I think it was just easier for men to place the blame on the women.
