I too am a catholic who practices faithfully without discriminating against other religions or cultures. I agree with your point that it is the individual who is responsible for their actions and not a particular religion. I did not mean for my post to come off as blaming religion for certain crimes, but to show that people used religion as a sort of shield to justify their actions. That was meant to be the overall theme of my post and I hope the message is clear to others.
