: I am not sure that I can agree with the view that women are the vessels of sin. Does this have a correlation with pregnancy? Do women get blamed because they are the ones who will actually show the act by way of pregnancy? To men women may be attractive, but so are men to women. If men cannot control themselves when they are attracted why is it not their owm fault for having weak self-control? I know that this was a time where men were viewed as superior to women so that helps me to understand. It is easy to blame the people who are less respected in the society than the respected. It still bothers me though.
