I found your followup to be quite interesting. I too have read about many African tribes and some others that believed that a woman was the superior being. That women were more important then men. Were women held higher positions then men. Where women were held with greater respect then men.
I think one of the reasons that people believe in this male idealogy is because religions like christianity were the only ones ever written down so that people could read and learn about them.
