I thought of something amusing, I dont' know if anyone else made the connection, either, but here it is.

I thought it rather in amusing yesterday in class when we were discussing Indians/Native Americans, and the "discoverers" of the "New World."

Indian giver, in our slang, means to give something, ans then taking it back-why is it called this when it's really us (the white ancestor people) who shoved them off their land, than offered these treaties, and never lived up to them? Um. Hi. If anyone is an 'Indian-Giver' it's our ancestors, and the people who refuse to live up to the treaties that we made between us and the Native Americans.

Some people would argue that "the treaties were written so long ago, who really cares about that anymore? Get over it." To this I would reply, "well, our Constitution was written a long time ago, so do we still have to uphold it? Does everyone still have the rights as described in the Bill of Rights? yes, we do, it I feel that at we should uphold or revise these treaties made so long ago. It makes us look like awful people to just forget about and ignore something that was so important in our history.
