When the word God comes up, everyone has their opinion. People try not to bring the subject up much, unless they are around members of their church or or people they know have the same view as they do, because it's such a touchy topic, and disagreeing about something as important as want God wants or how to get into heaven makes a lot of people uneasy. I prefer not to talk about it too much, but on a board like this, I can state an opinion without someone butting in with their opinion and telling me I'm crazy. I'm with most people in my belief in God, but the people that believe in Him (or Her, let's not get into that) are separated into so many churches and systems of belief that it's crazy. There are "free" churches, but not many, and when someone says that they are Baptist and you are Catholic, you think of yourselves as different, instead of similar in your belief in God. I agree with Alissa in that you should live your life to it's fullest. Some people think that you have to accept God into your heart to get into heaven, others think you have to regularly attnd church. I think, assuming that there is a God up there somewhere, that if you are a good person at heart, and try to have morals and be a loving person, that not going to churc every Sunday wouldn't make that much difference to God. It's been months saince I've been to church, but I pray once in a while at home, and try to lead a decent life, and to me, that's ok. I think God would understand that sometimes working Sunday mornings gets me money to get through school, or going to see my dad to watcha Vikings game on Sunday is ok. Some people make it sound like God has a cutoff line for heaven, like anyone who attended less than 80% of the time goes to hell, and I totally disagree with that. I don't expect this to influence anyone, nor do I want it to, but I wanted to see what people thought of my view on things. Thank you all for listening.
