: I just wanted to respond to a few points of Alissa's posting. I totally agree with the idea of living one day at a time. I don't know who said it but one of my favorite quotes is "Everybody dies but not everybody lives." The reason I love this quote so much is because there is so much truth in it. Some people spend so much time thinking about what the future will bring or they live in the past that they lose sight of what is important...now! Many people worry about death too...my thoughts are enjoy each day because it may be your last...why worry about death and dying when there is nothing you can do about it? I guess I can attribute a lot of my attitude to a teacher I once had and also to experiences I have, but I have found that my life has been much happier since then.

I grew up Catholic. I have always had to attend mass on Sundays and on important religious holidays, yet my family is not what I would consider very religious. I have never liked going to church, and as of now I am not sure if I even believe in it, yet I had to go every sunday. How absurd! Alissa's story of the women on the bus reminds me of a woman I know. She was diagnosed with breast cancer and she used her faith to get her through it. She too KNEW that she would survive with the help of God.

I think Jon Lennon was right...the Beatles were more popular than Jesus (at least with the younger generation)
