I find your views very interesting. In answer to your question, you do not have to "avoid knowledge" and throw away your views of God to find the answer. Why not use them to our advantage. I believe in God and by believing in him I do not find myslef closing the doors towards knowledge or other insights. How are you being agnostic, able to find this knowledge that I am so obviously overlokking? I think it is important for humans to have some sort of belief in something. Even if it is only to "help them cope".
