This is an embedded demonstration presentation for trying out keyboard and menu navigation described in the "Viewer Documentation" presentation. It also has some additional information about navigation.

This presentation uses a tan color them to distinguish it from the outer "Viewer Documentation" (green) presentation.

Press the right arrow key, the down arrow key, or the page down key to advance the next page.

Press the left arrow key, the up arrow key, or the page up key to back up to the previous page.

Press the home key to restart a presentation

The unordered list that appears below has three items. You can show more content using the right arrow key. You can show less content using the left arrow key.

Ordered lists, definition lists, and tables can also be set up as progressions.

Click on the "Progressions" menu item in the outer (green) presentation for more information.

Web presentations can be navigated using either the keyboard or menus. In a complex presentation the menus may be cascaded. The menu items have memory each menu item that has a submenu remembers which of its submenu items was most recently selected.

Important Note: Each menu in the cascade has a header. The header is itself a menu item. It brings up the page that was displayed when the menu was first shown. You can try this by clicking on the "Demo Presentation" menu item.

When you want to view a web presentation in its natural order, keyboard navigation works best. Normal use steps through progressions. Quicker use gets through progressions in one step.

For normal use of keyboard navigation just click on the right arrow key to step through a presentation. If you want to back up just click on the left arrow key.

If you want to quickly display presentations with progressions just click on the down arrow key to step through it. If you want to back up just click on the up arrow key. You can also use the page down and page up keys.

To see how menu item memory works try selecting the "Progressions" menu item in this (tan) presentation. The progression will have the same number of items showing as when you last displayed it. Then when you click on the "Summary and More" menu item you will see this page, not the "Summary and More" page.

When an embedded presentation is shown within an outer presentation the browser reloads it each time it is shown. This means the embedded presentation loses all of its menu item memory. This will happen, for example if you click on the "Viewer Documentation" menu item and then the "Navigation" menu item, both in the outer (green) presentation.
