Non-Optically Acquired ImagesIn this exercise, you'll create images from scratch in Photoshop. You can also use these techniques to layer graphic elements you create on top of existing photographs or images, as you see in this example. By the way, this example demonstrates just what awful things can happen when you're trying out tools, rather than paying attention to the design. You're product will probably seem kind of motley too, but for now learning the tools is the goal. For this exercise, download this image to use (eventually) for your background: cadmt.jpg.
