Visiting Day Workshop
In this kind of workshop, I will ask you to sit down with several of your classmates in succession to provide feedback and, generally, to have a productive conversation about project.
I will also ask you to post written comments and suggestions to five or six projects, sent as replies the URL posting in the forum within 24 hours of the workshop day. See the page "Workshopping" for directions on preparing these written comments and on the workshop philosophy generally:
In an email or on the home page, I have divided the class into four teams, designated by color

At the beginning of class, I will ask members of the Green and Red teams to be "hosts," and to sit at their computers with their projects open in Dreamweaver and in a web browser. Each member of the Blue and Orange teams will be "visitors," and find a host to sit with and discuss the project and provide suggestions and observations.
After ten minutes, I will ask the Blue and Orange visitors to move onto another host to sit with for another 10 minutes.
Then, we will switch roles: the Blue and Orange teams will become hosts, and each member of the Green and Red teams will find a Blue or Orange host to provide feedback and suggestions to.
To prepare for the workshop, then, I will ask you look carefully at the web sites of the following teams, and prepare some talking points and suggestions for the meeting:
- Green Team should prepare feedback for members of the Blue Team
- Red Team should prepare feedback for members of the Orange Team
- Blue Team should prepare feedback for members of the Red Team
- Orange Team should prepare feedback for members of the Green Team
Within 24 hours of the workshop, post written comments as a reply to each of the projects for which you were to prepare feeback.
