Course Home PageToday's SpecialBe sure to review the guidelines for writing self commentaries. You will need to send or bring me a self commentary by our exam time of Tuesday, December 18 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. See the section below for more on the submitting the final versions of the Client Project. The following timeline explains how we will workshop our Client Projects on Monday, December 10 and Wednesday, December 12. The plan depends on your knowing who is and isn't on your assigned "team": Before Monday, December 10, prepare written responses and suggestions for the projects/proposals done by classmates who are not on your team. Write your name in the upper right cover of the proposal you're responding to, and write your comments in the margins of the proposal, or on its back. In class Monday, December 10 we'll have a "Visiting Day" for those not on the same teams. First, I will divide the class into hosts and visitors.
Before Wednesday, December 12, prepare written responses and suggestions for the projects/proposals done by classmates who are on your team. Write your name in the upper right cover of the proposal you're responding to, and write your comments in the margins of the proposal, or on its back. In class on Wednesday, December 12, we'll meet with our assigned teams for the entire hour, which will be divided equally among the four projects. Each 15 minute block should be devoted entirely to one person's project! The team should give the writer/designer feedback, the writer/designer should share what other feedback he/she received on Monday during "Visiting Day," and then thoroughly discuss the issues, choices and improvements at hand. I will make an announcement every fifteen minutes to move onto the next person's project. The working draft or BETA version of the Client Project assignment is due on Wednesday, December 5 in class. Read the directions for submitting these projects carefully. Final projects are due to be delivered to client on or before Tuesday, December 18. A copy of the final version, along with the final versions of the Proposal and the Self Commentary, will also be turned in to me before or during the final exam period on Tuesday, December 18, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. If you are turning in a Web-based project, simply send me an e-mail by that day and time with the URL of the completed project.
