Men's hockey players overcome cancer
Two UMD students use their platform to raise awareness for men’s health
Playing Division I hockey doesn’t happen by accident: It starts with a dream and is followed by years of hard work and dedication. If you’re lucky enough to make it, you have to work even harder to stay competitive.
But what happens when you reach your goal, only to be diagnosed with cancer?
For Zach Stejskal and Will Francis, members of the UMD men’s hockey team, the road to recovery included lessons in mental and physical fortitude. Now, they’re using their platform to raise awareness for men’s health.
