DULUTH, MN – The University of Minnesota Duluth Department of Athletics has announced the creation of the Bulldog Fan and Community Advisory Board. This program is designed to cultivate discussion with all UMD stakeholders, improve the fan experience at Bulldog athletic events and further community engagement. This board will have a voice in providing ideas, suggestions and feedback on variety of topics and issues pertaining to UMD Athletics.
"I am extremely excited about the creation of this advisory group," said UMD Athletic Director Josh Berlo. "It will help foster more interaction between myself, our athletic and coaching staffs with Bulldog Country than ever before. The Bulldogs have tremendous support in Duluth and the Northland and, to that end, we owe it to Bulldog Country to listen and be responsive to your feedback. The goal of this special group is to further engage with community leaders and members whom can provide their perspective on Bulldog athletics."
The advisory board will meet quarterly and members will serve in two-year terms. Its membership will be comprised of UMD students, faculty/staff, season ticket holders, and community and businesses leaders. Any season ticket holder (wishing to apply) should send an email to champ@d.umn.edu and detail their relationship with UMD Athletics and why he/she would like to be a part of this new and dynamic group.
