DULUTH, MN – Three UMD faculty are recipients of the Chancellor's Teaching, Research, and Service awards for 2013-2014. Each will give a special lecture presentation on Tues., Mar. 4 at 3 pm in Marshall W. Alworth Hall (MWAH) 195 on the University of Minnesota Duluth campus.
Angela Sharp, instructor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics and recipient of the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching, will give a presentation entitled “Cultivating Connections in Calculus.”
John Goodge, professor in the Department of Geological Sciences and recipient of the Chancellor’s Award for Distinguished Research, will give a presentation entitled “On Thin Ice.”
Kathy Heltzer, instructor in the Department of Social Work and recipient of the Chancellor's Award for Outstanding Public Service, will give a presentation entitled “Every Long Journey is Made of Small Steps: How Public Service Really Can Make a Difference.”
