Duluth, Minn. — The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) Physics Olympiad will be held from 12 - 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 6 in MWAH 195 on the UMD campus.
All area high school juniors and seniors are invited to compete individually and in teams in a series of theoretical and hands-on challenges at the event. Interacting with other students as well as UMD physics professors will be part of the fun.
The Physics Olympiad is designed to provide a healthy and intellectually stimulating academic science competition for high school students and to encourage more students to pursue careers in physics.
Refreshments will be provided during the competition.
