Students Finding Their Future
UMD will hold its annual E-Fest Wednesday, September 19 in the Kirby Ballroom from 10 am to 2 pm.
E-Fest is one of two career fairs held each year on campus. The event is a place for UMD students and recent alumni to find jobs and internships in engineering, science, computer science, and math.
Director of Career Services Julie Westlund stresses that this is a great opportunity for students.
"This is the easiest way for students to connect with so many employers in one place and to build their networks," Westlund said. "Employers are there to share information about their companies and to recruit prospective employees. They want to talk with students."
This year E-Fest will be bigger than ever with over 70 companies in attendance, including ALLETE/MN Power, Essentia Health, Mesabi Nugget, and Lake Superior Consulting, LLC.
