The UMD Honors Program is hosting "Facing the Challenge: A Global Energy Action Forum" starting on Wednesday, April 27 at 6 p.m. with a welcome reception in the UMD Griggs Center.
Thursday, April 28 at 9:45 a.m. the forum will continue in Griggs Center, beginning with a welcome address by honors student Greg Reynolds . The forum will continue with a keynote address and three panel discussions on the role of bio-fuels, nuclear energy, and renewable/sustainable options.
A public discussion on the global climate change and the role of CO2 from the burning of fossil fuels includes a dialog between Regents' Professor Tom Johnson (UMD) and Chris Walcek (State University of New York at Albany).
