New University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) Chancellor Dr. Lynn Black, will raise the flag at ceremonies at Target Field just before the Twins vs. the Toronto Blue Jays baseball game on September 30 at 7 p.m. Over 200 UMD alumni will be cheering from Section U on the Skyline Deck for the game.
UMD alumni will also be cheering for UMD’s head football coach Bob Nielson. He is in contention for Liberty Mutual’s Division II Coach of the Year contest. If Nielson wins, it would mean $50,000 to the charities of his choice, and $20,000 to the UMD Alumni Association for student scholarships.
To keep Bob Nielson in the lead, every one can vote once a day, every day, at www.CoachOfTheYear.com.
