The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) will present "UMD Techfest 2008--A Decade of Technology" on Friday, March 28, 2008, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Kirby Student Center Ballroom (3rd floor). The public, and students of all ages, are cordially invited.
"Techfest 2008" is a special year, for it will showcase a decade of rapidly advancing technology at UMD.
Current (and some past) UMD faculty and staff will demonstrate the latest cutting-edge technologies along with some "then and now" presentations, comparing methods or processes from 1998 along with their present day equivalents.
Twenty-five booths will represent how many of the departments and disciplines at UMD use modern technology to teach, to learn, and to share information.
