The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) Department of Human Resources and UPlan have announced the opening of a new program for UMD faculty, staff, and their dependents. The drop-in clinic, called "QuickCare," will open Monday, February 21, and will be located in the UMD Health Services building on the UMD campus.
The "QuickCare" program is designed for medical visits, treatments, and screenings for common ailments. It was created to provide fast, easy care at a cost savings. The new clinic is an in-network provider for all UPlan medical program options at the University of Minnesota.
"QuickCare" will make it easier for UMD employees and their dependents to assess medical care for common ailments that have specific treatments. Hours of operation will be 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1:30-4 p.m., Monday through Friday, during the academic school year (September through May). No appointment will be necessary.
Dr. Nancy Sudak has been named "QuickCare" Program Medical Director. Susan Rhoads has been named "QuickCare" Program Nurse Practitioner. An Open House for the UMD community is planned for March 1st. The ceremony will include an official dedication of the clinic space.
