"MATH WARS"

A New Book and Upcoming Presentation

Professor Carmen Latterell

ABSTRACT
In her new book, MATH WARS, Professor Carmen Latterell explains why mathematics education is commonly listed as the number one concern of parents and teachers in K-12 schools and she goes on to provide guidance for addressing the issue.

In her presentation, she will cite certain chapters found in the book, and, in general, explain the facts behind the heated debates about K-12 mathematics education. These debates are commonly referred to as the "Math Wars".
