UMD Announces 2003-2004 Study in England
Program Participants

Fifty Students Participating

The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) has announced the participants in the 2003 2004 UMD Study in England Program. Fifty students are taking part this year.

The Study in England Program is an opportunity for UMD students to "enrich their college experience by spending an academic-year abroad". The students spend the year at the Universtiy of Birmingham Selly Oak Campus, 110 miles northwest of London, England. The classes, taught by both UMD and British faculty, are scheduled in intensified 4-day weeks leaving long weekends available for field trips and traveling. UMD Professor Sabra Anderson is this year's program director.

Program participants must be current UMD students or be from other universities who are admissible to UMD. Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.4 with at least 24 credits at the time of application, and stay above that GPA while participating in the program.

While UMD faculty members form the core of the program, their course offerings are complemented by those of the British faculty members. All classes are offered for University of Minnesota credit.
