UMD will present a lecture on November 19 from noon to 1 PM in UMD Library, fourth floor rotunda by Washington D.C. Defense Attorney Jerry A. Moore III, 1968 graduate of UMD and former Naval officer. He will speak on the topic of: "Achievement Matters: Experience & Assessments of Life after UMD: or What UMD prepared me to learn to do." The public is cordially invited.
Jerry A. Moore is a 1968 graduate from UMD and continued his education at the University of Wisconsin Graduate School and the Georgetown University Law Center.
Mr. Moore is a partner in the law firm Arter and Hadden in Washington D.C., specializing in real estate, municipal and administrative law. He is also an age bias and discrimination defense attorney. He has served on boards of many community organizations including as Vice Chairman of the Board and Treasurer of Children's Hospital and the Greater Washington Urban League, where he serves as Chairman of the Board. He also hosts a weekly current issues radio program in the Washington D.C. Area.
