Dr. Peggy McIntosh will speak on "White Privilege and Male Privilege: A Personal Account of Coming to See Correspondences through Work in Women's Studies." Wednesday, November 14 at 7pm in the Kirby Ballroom located on the UMD campus. A 6 pm reception will proceed the speech. The event is hosted by the UMD Commission on Women and is part of the 20th Anniversary of the UMD Women's Studies Department.
Dr. McIntosh is the founder and co-director of the National S.E.E.D. Project on Inclusive Curriculum (Seeking Educational Equality and Diversity) She consults nationally and internationally on creating gender-fair and multiculutural curricula.
The event is free and open to the public.
