Woodruff is a veteran of more than 20 years in broadcast journalism. She co anchors (with Bernard Shaw) Inside Politics, the nation's only daily program devoted exclusively to politics, and Worldview, an hour-long international newscast examining major news stories around the world. She is also co-anchor of CNN's Wednesday night edition of Newstand, a nightly news program providing insights into today's important issues.
Prior to joining CNN, Judy Woodruff was chief Washington correspondent for the MacNeil/Lehrer News Hour for ten years. She also served as NBC's News White House correspondent from 1977 to 1982 covering both the Carter and Reagan administrations.
Woodruff is a founding co-chair of the International Women's Media Foundation, an organization dedicated to promoting and encouraging women in communication industries worldwide.
