UMD Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering will hold its 6th annual Engineering Day for high school students Wednesday, April 12 beginning at 9 a.m. in the Kirby Student Center Ballroom (3rd floor). Approximately 400 area high school students are expected to attend.
UMD faculty members will make presentations on job opportunities in the fields of Chemical, Industrial, Electrical and Computer Engineering. Representatives from area community colleges will discuss transferring from community colleges to UMD Engineering Programs followed by a panel discussion with UMD Engineering students.
The day will conclude with tours of the campus and demonstrations in the three UMD Engineering Departments.
