Research
completed at the University of Hawaii, compared a diabetic population with
a control group using electro-acupuncture measurements on the spleen and
pancreas meridian. The resulting data demonstrated a 95+% correspondence
between electro-acupuncture biofeedback assessment and the conventionally
diagnosed diabetic group. Another study, at the University of Hawaii, compared electro-acupuncture assessment of allergy meridian with six other methods of assessing food allergy. The electro-acupuncture biofeedback data gave the highest compatibility with the food elimination/re-challenge test, the most sensitive of currently available diagnostic tests for determination of food allergy. Research at the University of California, Los Angeles and the University of Southern California were also able to demonstrate approximately 87% correlation between electro-acupuncture biofeedback diagnoses of lung cancer, when compared with standard x-ray diagnosis. Also, at the University of California, Los Angeles, a similar finding was found when electro-acupuncture was compared to physical diagnosis for finding various physical ailments. |
