  AyurvedaModes of Therapy

Health is defined as soundness of body, mind and spirit. This is considered the tripod of life and each leg of this tripod needs equal attention in order to achieve soundness of health. All of the various seven constitution types are involved in all three areas of the tripod of health.

Diet is a foundational therapy in Ayurvedic medicine. There are many different diets prescribed based on one's specific disease pattern diagnosed. Individual medicines can be prescribed as well. They would be prescribed in a manner very similar to traditional Chinese medicine, that is, herbal therapies are assigned attributes based on the seven constitutions, etc. and chosen based on their effects on those constitutions.
