Proposal

I propose to create a web site to log my decision making process on chooosing a graduate school. I intend to use the tools available to me to show step-by-step the thought process that went on and to answer the questions I had "out loud"on the web. Although much of the decision making process is internal I hope that I will be able to turn it into words and make it work in a format that shows how my areas of interest might be relevant to others facing the same decision.

I am planning a web site that tracks my main areas of interest - chiropractic and acupuncture, and their relation to sports medicine. I intend to devote areas of my site to each of these and by using the knowledge I have acquired these past years in making my decision and doing more in-depth research come up with a format that can help others visualize my thought process.

Each of the areas will have their own "page" so to speak. The chiropractic page will give background information, tell of advancements, and tie in my interests as well. I will have links to different chiropractic sites, pictures, and have space devoted to answering FAQ's that come up within the field and also answers to my own questions. Similarly, the acupuncture page will have background information on this ancient art, uses in today's world, and my own reasons for wanting to study the practice. It too will have different links and pictures associated with it that, in the end, will give the web audience and myself a better understanding of acupuncture and answer some of the questions that surround the practice. Also linked to the site will be the sources I used in my research and this proposal as well.

I hope in the end the site will help others make wise decisions by following along on my personal journey, as laid out before them on the web, and that I too will gain more knowledge of the field I am entering and get a better grasp on how I came to my own conclusions.
