Stress-less Week in the Library
5/6 - 5/10
As the semester winds down, the Library isn’t just a place to study for finals and finish up papers. It’s also a place to unwind and de-stress. For the third semester in a row, the Library will be hosting a series of stress relief events and activities for students during the week before finals, May 6-10.

Coffee with Champ
For a week of all-nighters, you might need some extra caffeine. On Monday and Friday mornings from 8:30 to 10:00 am, library staff will team up with Champ, UMD’s favorite bulldog, to hand out free coffee to students near the entrance to the library.
Massage
On Tuesday and Thursday, massage therapist Nancy Schwerdt will offer free ten minute chair massages for students from 1:00 to 3:00pm in Library 119.
Pet Away Stress
Wednesday, May 8, the popular Pet Away Stress event will return to Kirby Terrace. From 11:00am to 1:00pm, relieve stress by spending quality time with some friendly canines. This event is sponsored by UMD Health Services and the Office of Civic Engagement.
Arts & Crafts
Throughout the week, take a study break with board games and arts and crafts on the library’s first floor. Make your own stress balls or relax with a coloring sheet and crayons.
