Supportive Services moving to the Library

The Supportive Services Program (SSP), including the campus Tutoring Program, will move to the Learning Commons in August 2013. The move of SSP from its current location in the Solon Campus Center will provide students with expanded space and hours for tutoring services, increased academic support through additional supplemental instruction review sessions, enhanced courses on how to be successful college learners, and opportunities to use new flexible seating, study, and computing areas in combination with academic support resources.

Additionally, the SSP mission is shifting with the move to the Learning Commons. Through redesigned courses such as Learning Strategies (SSP 1054), new programs such as the Foundations Program, and expanded tutoring and supplemental instruction services, the SSP program will serve all UMD students to be academically successful through a welcoming, inclusive, and collaborative learning environment. For additional information, visit the SSP website at http://www.d.umn.edu/ssp.
