 Assessment of Student Learning

Assessment Mission

The UMD assessment mission is to continuously improve student learning by systematically communicating what students will learn, engaging in multiple forms of inquiry about what and how they learn, and making changes based on results.

The intention is to improve learning and answer these key questions:

  • What do we want our students to learn?
  • What does learning look like?
  • How do we know what our students have learned?
  • How do we respond to student learning data?
