Transfer Ready

You are here

Are you ready?

Here is your official transfer checklist:

Spring Admits: Sign-up and attend Orientation You'll leave campus with important information, connections to peers, your UCard, and your class schedule. As a transfer student, you have two options for an Orientation session: Transfer Orientation that's available just for transfer students, with a specific focus on how your previous experience transfers to UMD; and one that's available to all incoming students. All sessions are scheduled throughout the summer months.

Transfer Prep is an optional 30-minute meeting with our Transfer Student Coordinator that will prepare you for Orientation and your transition to UMD.

Meeting includes:
  • What transcripts UMD currently has on file and their transfer evaluation status
  • Review Academic Progress Report (APAS)
  • Review how courses will apply to your UMD transcript
  • Answer any additional questions you might have

You can choose to either have a face-to-face meeting or meeting via phone call. To sign up for a Transfer Prep meeting visit: transferprep.appointments.umn.edu
