Current Students

Full-time, theatre majors in good academic standing are invited to apply for the scholarships listed below. Contact the Theatre Department for application details: (218) 726-8562 or e-mail us.
The faculty accept applications and determine awards for scholarships administered by the department, and forward nominations for the Gershgol and Tezla Scholarships to the School of Fine Arts. Scholarship awards are announced at the spring theatre banquet, and range from $600 to $2000.

- Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts students qualify
- Awarded to one student

- Students must be enrolled formally as a full time, returning theatre major

- Demonstrated outstanding contribution in theatre

- Good academic standing

- Financial need is not a factor

Olive Anna Tezla SFA SCHOLARSHIP

- Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts students qualify

- Awarded to two students

- Students must be enrolled formally as a full-time, returning theatre major

- Demonstrated outstanding contribution in theatre
- Good academic standing

- Financial need is not a factor

- Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts students qualify

- Students must be enrolled formally as a full time, returning theatre major

- Demonstrated outstanding contribution in theatre

- Good to outstanding student as a performer or theatre artist

- Demonstrated financial need

- Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts students qualify

- Students must be enrolled formally as a full-time, returning theatre major

- Entering junior year, in good academic standing

- Based on talent and financial need

- Bachelor of Fine Arts students qualify

- Awarded to one student

- Student must be enrolled formally as a full time, returning theatre major

- Demonstrated artistic achievement in performance
or design and technical theatre

- Financial need is not a factor

This scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen and transfer students who have auditioned for the Department of Theatre's Performance and Design/Tech faculty in the spring semester preceding University matriculation in the fall.
