According to the 2012 U.S. News and World Report (USN&WR), the UMD Masters of Social Work ranked in the top tier, placing 79th in the USN&WR graduate school “Health” category. The national assessment included surveys that were conducted during the fall of 2011, handled by the research firm Ipsos Public Affairs. Among the programs surveyed, the UMD master of social work, accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, was selected and highly ranked.
